During the month of June, we celebrate Father’s Day. This year it is June 15th. I wanted to take a moment to celebrate the fathers in my life.
When I was a kid, I thought my dad (who stands 5’8″ tall and weighs in at no more than 150) was the toughest guy in the world. He was a real cowboy. He could lift anything, fix anything. He could reduce me to tears with a gruff tone of voice and a stern look. Grandfather to 5 little girls, he gets a kick out of teasing with bugs and mustaches!
My husband is also only 5’8″ tall, but to my three-year-old daughter, he is the biggest guy around! She thinks the world of her daddy. They have a lot of special games they play together that Mama just doesn’t get. And that’s okay by me!
My father-in-law has been such a blessing to me and my littles. He is always willing to lend a helping hand around the house (and actually can fix anything) and is completely in awe of his two granddaughters.
With Pinterest at our fingertips, we are rarely in short supply of ideas, and that includes Father’s Day. Here are a few of my favorite ideas for gifts, breakfasts, and Father’s Day crafts:
Dads deserve to have at least this one special day (if not more than one) so let’s make this year’s Father’s Day special for all of the great dads in our lives!
